Market research
Client and stakeholder market research
InsideOutWorks conducted a comprehensive survey of health sector clients and stakeholders to inform the future strategic direction of the Goodfellow Unit at the School of Population Health, University of Auckland.
The market research included in-depth qualitative interviews of senior managers at district health boards, health sector professional bodies, health sector employers and senior university academics. We also designed, conducted and analysed an online survey of doctors, nurses and others working in the health sector which received over 650 responses over a 3 week period. The research was then used to guide strategic planning for the Unit going forward.
Feedback from our client
We needed to carry out a significant market research survey process and engaged InsideOutWorks to undertake this. Mary interviewed members of our Unit, designed a survey questionnaire, and modified this based on staff feedback. Data was obtained via this e-Questionnaire and analysed. Additionally, qualitative data was gathered by face-to-face or telephone interviews and analysed for themes. A presentation of the data followed, both as a comprehensive report and as a presentation at a workshop involving key Goodfellow Foundation members, Faculty staff, and stakeholders. The combined information is comprehensive and has provided us with a valuable resource to assist in planning future directions.
Mary's competence in carrying out this task professionally was evident from the beginning. Our professional relationship over several years was a key determinant in deciding to have her undertake this project. I would have no hesitation in having her work with us in the future on similar projects.
