Strategic planning

Strategic planning facilitation

We have provided facilitation for several  strategic planning workshops to develop long term directions for the Goodfellow Unit, a specialist provider of accredited continuing education for the primary health sector.  Participants in these workshops have included Goodfellow Foundation trustees, strategic partners, senior academics and representatives of primary healthcare professional groups.

These workshops were used to set the future long-term direction for the Goodfellow Unit. Techniques including a SWOT analysis and brainstorming were used to develop a revised vision for the unit, define the strategic areas for focus in the future and provide a picture of what a future successful unit would look like.

We also worked with the Unit's management to develop specific objectives and define organisational requirements to deliver on the agreed strategic areas.

Feedback from our client

I engaged InsideOutWorks to design and facilitate a strategic planning workshop for our Unit. It was a pleasurable task to work with Mary on planning the programme, preparing the format of activities, and have her facilitate processes aimed at identifying key activities for our Unit. This workshop has contributed to our role and development during the next 5 years, and, during a detailed follow-up session with Unit staff, we determined the key elements of the 2012 Operational Plan. The workshop, and the follow-up sessions, were managed effectively, and through the process, we achieved our desired outcomes. Mary also produced a report on the workshop and developed documentation for the subsequent sessions.I would thoroughly recommend her services.
